MONTANA-BUILT SAUNAS
Flathead Valley • Montana
Finished outdoor saunas and custom retreat designs for Bigfork properties.
InquireFor a Bigfork property, consider both the outlook from inside the sauna and the route you will use to reach it. A view-oriented position may not be the easiest place to prepare a base or deliver a finished structure. Compare locations before committing to glazing or a footprint; privacy, access and maintenance should be part of the same decision.
The Badrock Mini fits 1–2 people in a compact finished structure. The Badrock fits 3–4 and provides more room for shared use. Both have insulated construction, cedar interiors and electric heating. A Custom Retreat is the better starting point for a separate changing room, a porch or a different overall layout.
If your site is sloping or near water, discuss the prepared base, drainage and access with appropriate local professionals. Check property-specific approvals and setbacks with the relevant authority rather than assuming a standard placement rule. We do not claim these design-reference photos were taken at a Bigfork project.
Allow room outside the door for entering and leaving the sauna, and consider a sheltered transition if that matters to your use of the space. Standard models offer fir and larch exterior profiles, with siding, interior and glazing upgrades available. For a new footprint, roofline or porch arrangement, move to a custom design rather than expecting a finish upgrade to change the whole structure.
Send your Bigfork property address, preferred capacity and a description of the access route when you enquire. Standard-model delivery is included within 15 miles of Kalispell and quoted by distance beyond that; confirm your specific location. Site preparation and electrical hookup are separate. A licensed electrician must install a dedicated 240V circuit, with a 30A circuit required for the Badrock Mini. We confirm your build timeline at reservation; most builds take 4–6 weeks.
InquireA porch, changing room or different overall layout is a Custom Retreat design consideration. Compare the standard model footprints first to see whether a custom layout is necessary.
Consider the view, neighbouring sightlines, daylight, the walking route and maintenance access together. Glazing choices should follow a workable placement plan.
No. Arrange the dedicated electrical service with a licensed electrician, and confirm the selected heater’s requirements before installation.
